From Route 66

Eat & Make Money$

The Route 66 has developed a relationship with the Tomato Cafe in ABQ.  Route 66 OC receives 15% of the money made on a designated night at the Tomato Cafe restaurant.  Special Olympics and the NWOC had a similar relationship with the local Applebees restaurant.  Set this up with restaurant managers in your area, then invite all of your friends and family members to have a night out eating good food for you.

From the North Valley

Motorcycle Toy Run

Between Thanksgiving and early December, the North Valley OC in ABQ hosts a motorcycle Toy Run.  The sight is phenomenal.  HUNDREDS of motorcycles, tons of black leather, and motorcycles carrying stuffed animals for youngsters.  Dozens of motorcycle clubs participate in this single day event.  The "troops" rally at the Pit on University and Cesar Chavez in Southeast ABQ, then ride in formation to the Sandia Casino at Tramway and I-25 where the toys and non-perishable food are off-loaded.

Optimists then sort the toys and food making up baskets for hundreds of families distributed throughout the community by local churches and rescue organizations.
